Bearing the Gospel Light of Jesus Christ to the entire world |
|||||
We hear it every day. We read about it, perhaps in the Bible or in other Christians magazines. The Ministers of God mention it in their sermons from time to time. We wonder in our thought and ask ourselves, "Will the rapture really take place? This is the theme of our study this week. We don’t want to be taken unaware like what happened to the generation of Noah. They were merrying and marrying, and in the time they least expected, the flood destroyed the generation of the wicked. But God saved the only righteous man in the generation and his household. In Genesis we read that "Enoch walked with God; then he was no more, because God took him away." Genesis 5:24 The body of Enoch did not see corruption. If he did not walk faithfully with God, He would not have taken him away. God has no use for an unfaithful man. Moses the servant of God died in the land of Moab. The Lord Himself buried Moses in the valley opposite Beth Peor Deuteronomy 34:5-6 Nobody could have known that Satan would try to lay claim to the body of Moses. However, Angel Michael contended with the devil and said to the devil, "the Lord rebuke you." Jude 9 In II Kings 2:11 we see how Elijah, the servant of God, was taking to heaven in a chariot of Fire. His body did not see corruption. This was the first clear picture or idea from the Bible of how rapture will be. In 1968 man landed on moon via the USA Space Ship Appollo-11. If man could achieve this feat, why can't Almighty God, with His infinite wisdom, take all His faithful servants unto Himself at the appointed time. Jesus said, "the elects will be gathered from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other," Matthew 24:30-31 Angels confirmed it in Acts 1:10-11 that Jesus Christ will come back the way the disciples saw Him ascending to Heaven. And Paul announced it that "the Lord will come down from Heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever." It will definitely happen one day. Therefore be ready, brethren. In the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet, the dead will be raised imperishable and we will all be changed. We shall be with Him forever if He found us faithful when He come back. Be ready! |
